In the weeks leading up to the 2014 NBA Draft, there has been a great deal of speculation as to who the Cleveland Cavaliers will select with the first overall pick. The trio of players who reside at the top of most NBA Draft boards includes both Kansas forward Andrew Wiggins and Duke forward Jabari Parker, and on Friday, word broke that each player has scheduled a workout with the Cavaliers in the next week.

The Cleveland Plain-Dealer reports that Wiggins will work out with Cleveland on Wednesday with Parker to follow on Friday, and surely, Kansas big man Joel Embiid is set to follow in the near future. There have been recent rumors that Parker, who most feel is the most NBA-ready of the prospects, is atop the big board for the Cavs, but with the general consensus remaining that either Embiid or Wiggins possesses more upside, it is an interesting choice.

Cleveland’s current roster could also help to dictate their selection, as the Cavaliers selected power forward Anthony Bennett with the top pick in 2013, while also picking up Tristan Thompson with a top-5 pick in a previous season. Regardless of where the Cavs elected to go with their selection, they will be picking up a potentially high-impact player, and they will have an close and personal glance at two of the “big guns” in the next seven days.
