The Stanley Cup was just awarded to the Los Angeles Kings not that long ago and already we’re starting to look ahead to the next campaign and this upcoming season. Fans in Los Angeles will be partying for a while but fans all across the NHL will be looking forward to the 2014-15 schedule announcement to see what their team’s path to the Stanley Cup playoffs looks like this year.

More from NHL

While fans are stoked to see who their team will play next season, not many people know just when the schedule will be released. If you’re in the dark about when to look for the NHL schedule, then you’re in luck as the complete 2014-15 schedule will be released by the NHL at 4pm ET on Sunday afternoon.

That means while there’s no hockey to be played today, it’s still a big hockey day nonetheless.

The schedule of home openers was released yesterday in anticipation of the full schedule release today and we’re starting to learn more and more about the upcoming slate of games as the NHL nears it’s full release time. Already we heard that the New Jersey Devils will be the last team to play their home opener this year and the Blackhawks will be playing the Capitals in a Winter Classic game in 2015.

The full schedule will no doubt have a slew of great games packed into this upcoming season, and the wait to find out the full 2014-15 NHL schedule is not going to last much longer.
