NBA Rumors: Chris Bosh to opt out of Miami Heat deal by Monday
By Jack Crosby
The Miami Heat are very close to retooling. LeBron James was the first one to opt out of his current deal earlier this week, and Dwyane Wade followed suit on Saturday. The only man left to opt out and start re-negotiating is Chris Bosh. There were many that thought he would have done that by now, following his two buddies, but it’s coming soon.

According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, he will make the move by the Monday deadline.
"[Bosh’s agent Henry Thomas], meanwhile, said Bosh has not decided on whether to opt out, but sources told ESPN The Magazine’s Chris Broussard that the All-Star big man will indeed follow suit and choose free agency by Monday’s midnight ET deadline. …Bosh will head into free agency willing to accept a pay cut from the $20 million he was owed next year, sources said."
Again, very few people expect Bosh to not opt out, and this will mark the official start of Pat Riley trying to not only keep his band together, but also pursue Carmelo Anthony and potentially create a Big 4 in South Beach.
Despite being manhandled by the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals recently, with the three of them together, Bosh, Wade and James have been to the Finals every year they’ve been together, so you can definitely see why they’re all willing to get some new deals done to stay together and add some more hardware to their collection.
