As Marc Stein from ESPN.com points out, the free agent landscape has shifted so much that teams around the league now believe it will be easier to get LeBron James this summer than it will be to get Carmelo Anthony.
Things were the exact opposite not that long ago but the Heat dragging their feet in free agency has caused a lot of doubt to cloud LeBron’s vision and that’s something that has given teams who want him some hope that such a thing is possible.
There’s no saying it actually is, but you can no longer blame teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers from trying and hoping. Cleveland, Houston and others are starting to re-engage in talks to clear max salary slots on their roster which proves just how volatile things are with the Heat and LeBron and the effect it has had on the market.
