Miami Heat Rumors: Pat Riley still courting Luol Deng
By Josh Hill
NBA free agency is in full swing which means that we’re going to continue to hear more and more rumors about players until either Carmelo Anthony or LeBron James figure out what they want to do with their basketball futures. That’s really what is holding up that market at the moment and it’s something that has sort of clogged things up with other free agents.

That doesn’t mean talks aren’t going on in other places though as free agents are indeed talking with teams even if they aren’t actively pursuing an exclusive contract at the moment. One of those free agents is swingman Luol Deng and it appears that the Miami Heat still have interest in him this summer.
“Luol Deng is a big name and a guy that is being courted by Miami as a possible member of a Big 4 or to see if there is a way he can join a Big 4,” reports USA Today NBA scribe Sam Amick, via HoopsHype.
This isn’t particularly breaking news but it’s definitely worth noting that after almost a week of free agency being open, the Heat are still hot for Deng and are still interested in feeling him out as much as they can before he makes a decision on what he wants to do.
It would appear that the Atlanta Hawks are the biggest suitors for Deng at the moment and while both the Heat and Hawks have Deng at the top of their free agent lists, Atlanta can offer more money which is what this might end up coming down to in the end when all is said and done.
