The Indiana Pacers made headlines in the Eastern Conference Finals for the antics of guard Lance Stephenson and now many are claiming that such antics are costing him free agent attention this summer.

More from Indiana Pacers

It’s possible that his antics cost him some points on the market but Stephenson isn’t fretting about the attention he’s not getting because everyone knows it’s eventually going to come.

Per Candace Buckner of the Indianapolis Star:

"“If we’re talking about a deal with the Pacers, I don’t know if any of the dominoes have to fall,” (Lance) Stephenson’s agent Alberto Ebanks predicted before the start of free agency. “(But) if we were talking about some of the other teams, I would think that those teams are looking to explore the very, very top tier LeBron James and company … so I would think that yes.“We’re in a rush to get a really good deal done,” Ebanks has said, “and we’re in no rush to enter into something that’s short of being a good situation for him and the next team or the current team.”"

This comes as no surprise as the market just isn’t there for Stephenson and he’s going to have to wait and be patient while deals come to him. It’s a clogged market at the moment thanks to LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony and once they decide what to do with tier futures, deals will start coming the way of Stephenson and others.

It’ll be hard to him to find the deal he wants, but here’s a decent deal out there somewhere for Stephenson and it will find him eventually.
