The decision by Carmelo Anthony in regards to where he will be playing his basketball going forward will be made soon, and there were some that speculated a decision could have come as early as Monday. Well, Monday has now come and gone and Carmelo still has not announced his decision, presumably between the New York Knicks and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Apparently, this has the Knicks a little rattled about the chances they have of bringing their star back to the Big Apple.

According to Marc Stein, he’s beginning to get a sense that some within the organization are beginning to grow a bit uneasy, especially since the decision did not come down on Monday, as they must have suspected it would.

Once thought to be completely out of the race, the Knicks got right back to the front of the line after Carmelo took his first few meetings with the Bulls, Mavericks and Rockets. However, the Lakers are the pesky gnat in the room that just won’t go away, as they reportedly made quite the impression on Carmelo when he was out west visiting with them.

Again, Carmelo will be making his decision soon, but as more time goes by, the nail biting in New York will continue on.
