If the Cleveland Cavaliers are trying to build enough talent on their team to convince LeBron James that they are indeed the best option for him, they’re certainly pulling out all the stops as ESPN Cleveland is reporting that they are now in the process of proposing a trade to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Kevin Love that involves no. 1 overall pick, Andrew Wiggins.

This news comes literally within an hour after they struck a deal with the Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics that sent Jarrett Jack to Brooklyn, creating enough cap space to give James the maximum deal that he is ultimately looking for.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

Although no one ever doubted that the Cavaliers were seriously in the race to get the King back to Cleveland, offering up their most recent no. 1 pick to get the best player on the trade market at the moment shows just how determined they really are.

The Timberwolves have been very cautious in the past few weeks about what sort of deals for Love they’re entertaining, but you would have to think that Flip Saunders, of all people, would sit down and seriously consider bringing in a player with the upside of a Wiggins.

This has undoubtedly been one of the wildest days of the free agency period thus far, and the Cavaliers have definitely taken the lead on that charge as they continue to make the biggest splash.
