Chicago Bulls Rumors: Carmelo Anthony sign and trade talks could begin soon
By Josh Hill
The Chicago Bulls are starting to edge closer and closer to securing a path that lands them Carmelo Anthony as a sign-and-trade deal may come together in the 11th hour. It was looking like the Knicks were going to get Melo to agree to a five-year max deal but in the end that may just be so that he can get paid the maximum amount he can and still find a way to play for the Bulls.

According to Mike McGraw from the Daily Herald, the Bulls have moved back into the conversation to acquire Carmelo Anthony but there doesn’t appear to be any active sign-and-trade talks going on at the moment.
McGraw cautions though that given how on the fence Melo has been up to this point, there’s no reason the Bulls should dive head first into a pool that might be empty.
This doesn’t meant that the Bullsa re for sure going to land Melo this offseason but it’s something that has restored hope in the Windy City that such a thing is possible. It was looking like the Bulls were probably out of the running on Melo but they may end up pulling something out in the end that lands them their coveted free agent prize.
