The Houston Rockets continue to swing and miss during their pursuit of big name free agents, and now there is another name that they appear to be out of the running for.

More from Houston Rockets

After failing to land LeBron James, Chris Bosh and seemingly being a non-factor in the Carmelo Anthony race, the Rockets have no struck out on Luol Deng.

According to Marc Stein of ESPN.com, the Rockets are no longer in pursuit of Deng.

There is some good news for Bulls fans, however, with news that they are still in the mix to land Trevor Ariza.

While the Rockets would have liked to have one of the top-tier free agents, they will likely get anything they can take at this point.

After trading away Jeremy Lin for peanuts, they will need to find a way to add talent to the roster around Dwight Howard and James Harden.
