Chicago Bulls received top-10 draft pick in Nikola Mirotic trade offer
By Josh Hill
The Chicago Bulls have been looking at ways they can improve their roster this offseason and find the missing pieces that make them a true championship contender. They missed on Carmelo Anthony but managed to snag Pau Gasol from the Los Angeles Lakers but that wasn’t their most impressive signing of the offseason.

For the past few years, the Bulls have been trying to get first-round draft pick Nikola Mirotic to come over from Spain but they’ve been unable to wrestle him away from his contract with Real Madrid. This summer though, the Bulls have made strides and are close to bringing over their European big man they’ve been touting so much — but it was almost a very different story.
According to NBA scribe Eric Pincus, the Bulls received a trade offer this summer for Mirotic from a team possessing a top-10 draft pick.
It’s unclear who exactly offered this trade but it’s not hard to find a list of culprits by just looking at the draft order from this year. Needless to say, the Bulls didn’t take the offer but they no doubt received one that sounds like it was a tempting offer.
There was no guarantee at that point when Mirotic was coming over, but the fact that the Bulls turned down a top-10 pick goes to show just how much they love Mirotic and want to protect his rights as they attempt to get him over to the NBA this year.
