Miami Heat nearing deal with Chris Andersen
By Josh Hill
The Miami Heat didn’t have much of a mourning period for losing LeBron James as they moved fast to re-sign Chris Bosh, agree to a deal with Luol Deng and are in the process of working out deals with Udonis Haslem and Dwyane Wade. Another player they are in on is Chris Andersen, who also left as a free agent but is also looking to come back this year to the Heat.

Early reports from this week indicated that while Birdman wasn’t jumping through hoops to re-sign with the Heat, he remains loyal to the team and won’t cross them on the open market. That was the first indication that a deal could happen and the Heat seem ready to start wheeling and dealing with their colorful big man.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo! Sports, the Miami Heat are closing in on a deal with Chris Andersen that would bring Birdman back to South Beach.
"Miami has been determined to reshape its roster and remain a contender without James. Heat president Pat Riley signed Bosh to a five-year, $118 million contract on Friday, and is nearing deals with Dwyane Wade, Udonis Haslem and Chris Andersen, sources told Yahoo Sports. Miami also plans to sign free agents Danny Granger and Josh McRoberts."
Should Miami bring back Birdman, it would provide some great continuity that the team desperately needs. As it stands now, the only loss is LeBron James, and while that’s a mammoth loss when considering what he is, the shape of the team is pretty much the same as it was and bringing back Birdman furthers the theme that all is still right in Miami.
