The Chicago Bulls were one of the worst offenses in the entire NBA this past season, ranking 28th in points scored per possession.

More from Chicago Bulls

The Bulls have already made a few moves, such as signing big man Pau Gasol, to improve in that area next year. But it appears they’re still trying to find ways to better themselves offensively.

The team is interested in adding Aaron Brooks, according to Sam Aggrey of CSN Chicago.

"Potentially following in the tradition of diminutive scoring point guards like C.J. Watson, John Lucas III, D.J. Augustin and fellow Seattle native Nate Robinson, free agent Aaron Brooks could be next in line to fill the role of the next Bulls’ instant-offense scorer off the bench, CSNChicago.com has learned."

The 29-year-old certainly makes sense for the Bulls as a spark off the bench, if he comes at the right price.

Brooks was a solid offensive contributor this past season for the Denver Nuggets and Houston Rockets, averaging 9.0 points (40.1 percent shooting from the field and 38.7 percent shooting from beyond the arc) and 3.2 assists per game.

He was traded to the Nuggets as a part of the mid-season deal that sent Jordan Hamilton to the Rockets.

Brooks’ best season came in 2009-10 with the Rockets, when he averaged 19.6 points and 5.3 assists per game. Houston selected Brooks with the No. 26 pick in the 2007 NBA Draft.
