On Friday night, 6-foot-11 Chinese heavyweight Taishan Dong made his professional boxing debut against Alex Rozman on FOX Sports 1 for Golden Boy Promotions.

Dong, who appropriately gets his ring name “Taishan” from a famous mountain in China, showed off his punching power by battering Rozman for knockdown after knockdown before ultimately earning the TKO victory.
The Chinese heavyweight, who trains under former heavyweight boxer John Bray at Glendale Fighting Club in Calif., could potentially be the next big thing in the heavyweight division, but he remains very untested.
That said, his professional debut was an impressive performance and he will now have momentum in his corner when he returns to the ring.
