Endy Chavez is just trying to lay down a sac bunt in the top of the 12th to help his Mariners win a tight game over the Angels, but ends up doing something much more. He ends up creating something beautiful: the perfect line-hugging bunt.

More from MLB

Will the ball go foul? It has to go foul. Oh my God it’s staying fair! How is it staying fair? The ball must have a guidance system built into it. How can a bunted ball stay on such a perfect line? The chalk of the line must be keeping it fair. Is it being kept straight by an invisible string?

Does Endy Chavez have the ability to suspend the laws of physics at will??? Is he a magician or a baseball player? Why isn’t the bunt going foul? Everything I believe in is wrong!

Endy Chavez knows things about bunting that mere mortals do not know. Where did he acquire this secret bunting knowledge? Is he part of some secret society of bunting wizards who hold a yearly meeting in the center of giant hollowed out tree?

No. Probably not. But it was a hell of a bunt.
