WWE Battleground results 2014: The Miz wins WWE Intercontinental Championship Battle Royal

The WWE Intercontinental Championship was being determined by a 20-man battle royal after Bad News Barrett had to vacate it.
The bout started with the usual melee and some wrestlers getting eliminated rather quickly. Then things begin to slow down when more people get eliminated. Great Khalil, Sin Cara, R-Truth, Curtis Axel, Damien Sandow, and Diego were all eliminated rather early.
Sheamus eliminated Ryback with with a brogue kick.
Kofi Kingston was in the match so you’d know there would be some of his usual theatrics to stay in the match, and he was almost eliminated by Cesaro but hung on to Cesaro to pull himself up and get back in the ring.
Dolph Ziggler eliminated Del Rio. The Miz came into the ring and was thrown through the ropes to the mat for the second time, but because he didn’t go over the top rope he wasn’t eliminated.
Kofi was almost eliminated but was caught on the shoulders of Big E Langston, who had been eliminated. Langston helped Kofi get back to the ring and he once again got back into the ring reversing a suplex attempt by Cesaro. Moments later Cesaro lifted Kingston up and over the top rope to eliminate him once for all.
Heath Slater eliminated Cesaro seconds later when his back was turned. Sheamus then eliminated Slater with a Brogue Kick. Sheamus then took hold of Bo Dallas delivering his Chops and when he let go, Dolph Ziggler dropped kicked him off the edge of the mat to eliminate him.
That left Ziggler and Sheamus in the ring, and the Miz who was outside the ring laying down by the announcer’s table. Sheamus picked Ziggler up like he was going to power bomb him over the top rope, but Ziggler reversed it.
Ziggler then kicked Sheamus off the edge of the ring and as he was celebrating, The Miz ran in and threw him over the rope to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
