Eric Brooks is a major Washington DC sports fan (even though he lives in Denver). During hockey season he shaped his beard in honor of Alexander Ovechkin, and now he’s doing something even more crazy for baseball season, sculpting his beard to look like the Nationals’ “W” logo.

More from MLB

Brooks’ first attempt at the W beard was by his own admission a little ragged, but that’s because he did it in haste. Brooks says that his beard will look better when he goes to the game on Wednesday at Coors Field (via Washington Post).

"That one, I did it really quick, because I was just testing it out. I’m going to go to the game tomorrow and it’ll be a lot more refined. It probably took about 10 to 15 minutes just to do that. I use this hairspray, it’s called ‘got2b glued’ hairspray. It’s literally like cement for your hair."

What could go wrong with a process that involves shaping your beard using a product that is literally like cement for your hair? I don’t even want to think about it.

Well, Eric Brooks is a true fan, I’ll give him that. Crazy, but a true fan.
