Victor Cruz: New Giants offense is ‘definitely a little bit more pass happy’
By Mike Dyce
For the first time in New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning’s career, he is working with a new offensive coordinator. Ben McAdoo has come in to alter the offense and has Rueben Randle and rookie No. 1 pick Odell Beckham on the outside with Victor Cruz in the slot to work.

The transition to the slot has Cruz seeing himself playing the Wes Welker role and dreaming of a 100 catch season, and Cruz thinks this offense could make it happen.
“If there is any offense to do it in, it’s definitely this one. It’s definitely a little bit more pass happy than the offense we’ve had in the past,” Cruz said, via the New York Daily News. “I think I’m a guy that’s capable, so hopefully we can get that done hopefully. Obviously, that comes with wins and all that good stuff.”
Cruz added: “That’s the goal. I just want to be as good a player as I can be. The goal is definitely 100. I know Steve Smith got it a couple of years ago. But that’s the goal, and with that comes wins, with that comes touchdowns, and all that is helping the team, so that’s all that matters.”
