Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Justin Blackmon has found himself in hot water once again. This time Blackmon, who is already suspended indefinitely from the NFL, was arrested for marijuana possession Wednesday night in Edmond, Oklahoma, a suburb of Oklahoma City.

From News 9:

"According to Edmond police, Blackmon was stopped for a traffic violation at Edmond Road and Kelley. Officers said they could smell an odor of marijuana coming from inside the car. After a search, police said they found marijuana and Blackmon was taken into custody.Blackmon was also issued a citation for the traffic violation. Edmond police did not say how much marijuana was discovered in the vehicle."

It is just the latest in a string of incidents for Blackmon. He has twice been arrester for driving under the influence, once in 2010 and later in 2012.

I think it’s an absolute tragedy. I think he’s such a talented guy,” Jaguars owner Shad Khan said back in May about Blackmon, via Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com. “The best years [are] ahead of him but after a while it’s out of your control.”

Blackmon was reportedly seeking help for addiction according to comments made by those close to him in June.

“[Blackmon] just said, ‘I’m getting help,’ and he left it at that,” Blackmon’s position coach at Oklahoma State Gunter Brewer said, via the Florida Times Union. “Most folks [with addiction problems] don’t go the first stage of admitting they need help. People want to reach out and help Justin, but I think he feels like he’s let them down. He’s trying to find his way.

“I know he’s getting professional help, but I didn’t get into it with him. I’m not sure if it’s for alcohol or something else. The first step is admitting you need it, then going to get it.”

But Blackmon had kind of dropped off and disappeared. The Jaguars have stated that they have little or no communication with him.

“Every now and again, he will respond to my text,” said Jaguars receiver Mike Brown. “We came into the NFL together and we’re halfway close. But I don’t get into his personal business. Whatever he has going on, I respect his space.

“I just want him to get better. Whatever the problem is, get it addressed. I’m more concerned about him as a person.”
