The Georgia Bulldogs look well on their way to putting together a top-10 recruiting class, which is obviously something that has to be done in order to win an SEC Championship and compete for a National Championship. On Thursday, the Bulldogs landed their 16th commitment in the class of 2015 when 4-star wide receiver Michael Chigbu gave his pledge to the Bulldogs.

More from College

The 6’2, 211-pound Chigbu is from New Orleans, Louisiana and attends Holy Cross High School.  Chigbu narrowed his choices down the Bulldogs and the Texas A&M Aggies and tooki to twitter to announce his decision.

“I would like to say thank you to all the schools that recruited me,” Chigbu wrote via twitter. “Also a special thanks to Holy Cross High school, my coaches, my family and all others that supported me and helped me through this process. This decision was hard between TAMU and UGA. But I am committing …… University of Georgia #Fam15 #Dawgs #CoachRichtismydawg”

Chigbu visited the Aggies back in March and some thought he was leaning that way but an unofficial visit to Athens last week helped me make his decision.

Chigbu is ranked as the 32nd-best overall wide receiver prospect in the country, the 10th-best overall prospect from the state of Louisiana and the 253rd-best overall prospect in the class of 2015 according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.

Besides the Bulldogs and Aggies, Chigbu also holds offers from the Arizona State Sun Devils, Auburn Tigers, Clemson Tigers, Miami Hurricanes and Ole Miss Rebels among others.

The Bulldogs’ class, which is headlined by 5-Star athlete Terry Godwin, ranks sixth in the SEC and eighth nationally.
