Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley revealed the information via the team’s official website.
“I think it frustrates him more than anybody,” Bradley said. “You really want to come out here, but it’s a couple of weeks. We trust Cecil so much as far as being ready mentally. He knows what to do. We’ll have enough time. We’ll be OK.”
Shorts also was dealing with a calf injury earlier on in the offseason.
The Jaguars will be eager to get their top wide receiver back on the practice field, and Gus Bradley fully expects that the team will get to see Cecil Shorts suited back up in just a matter of weeks.
Even if the fourth-year wide receiver takes longer than expected to recover during training camp, the Jaguars fully expect that he will be ready to go for the start of the regular season.
