Miami Heat owner thinks team will contend without LeBron James
By Josh Hill
The Miami Heat lost out on LeBron James this summer but they managed to retain mostly all of their team from last year’s NBA Finals which is more encouraging than they’re getting credit for.

With Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade and others back including newbies Danny Granger, Josh McRoberts and Luol Deng on the roster, the Heat are looking like they very well could be squaring off against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Conference Finals this season.
According to Ira Winderman from the Sun Sentinel, Heat owner Micky Arison firmly believes that Miami will be major contenders in the East this season, even without LeBron James.
"“We are laser-focused on the present and the task at hand of defending our Eastern Conference championship with the East being described as ‘wide open,’ while also positioning ourselves for maximum flexibility and maneuverability in the future.“"
This is not a surprising thing to hear the owner of a team say about his team’s chances of contending. What is Arison supposed to say, that there is no use believing in humanity now that LeBron James is back in Cleveland?
Miami and Cleveland are linked forever thanks to the LeBron James back and forth and it could end up that we see them square off against each other in the Eastern Conference Finals as both teams look to be the top contenders in the East this upcoming season.
