Playing few games his rookie season, Eric Moreland burst on the scene his final three years as a member of Oregon State. In four years, the big man averaged 7.2 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game.
Going undrafted in the 2014 NBA Draft, Moreland was giving the opportunity to show what he had in the 2014 Samsung NBA Summer League. Averaging 3.5 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game, Moreland presence in the paint would be key in the Sacramento Kings winning the Las Vegas Summer League tournament.
Now signed to the Kings, Moreland will join a frontcourt of DeMarcus Cousins, Reggie Evans, Carl Landry, and Jason Thompson. With the Kings struggling on the defensive end, especially in regards to rim protection, there is a big chance that the 22-year-old can slide into the rotation behind Boogie Cousins.
Following the signing, Moreland took to Twitter to confirm the news.
