In this latest live stream, fans got to check out the new and improved halftime show that will be a major presentation feature in Madden 15. The show gives fans a look at the stats from the first half of play as well as highlights of the action as well, all with play-by-play.

The audio sounds a bit choppy at times and it doesn’t always sync with when the play actually happened, but it’s likely that EA Sports will have that issue fixed by the time the game releases next month.

The video, which comes courtesy of the MaddenAllstars YouTube channel, features the halftime show between the Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars. Check it out.

Madden 15 releases on August 26 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A version of the game will also be available on the same day for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Mike’s Musings: This is a feature that, though subtle, goes a long way towards bringing the virtual football world closer to the real thing. One thing I really loved about ESPN NFL 2k5 — a game that’s a decade old — was its halftime and postgame shows during franchise mode. The show would show highlights from your game as well as from select other games. It was a cool addition that made it seem real. Hopefully EA Sports can add something like that down the line.
