The UCLA Bruins have shown a lot of improvement on the recruiting trail under head coach Jim Mora, Jr.

In 2013, the Bruins signed 27 prospects and their class ranked seventh in the country and first in the Pac-12. The class was headlined by 5-Star defensive tackle Eddie Vanderdoes, 4-Star safety Priest Willis, 4-Star quarterback Asiantii Woulard, who was the MVP of the Elite 11 camp and 4-Star linebacker Myles Jack, Myles Jack, who made a name for himself on both sides of the ball as a freshman. In 2014, they signed just 18 players, but their class still ranked 19th in the country and third in the conference. Although they missed out on a lot of their big fish, they still landed the likes of 4-Star linebacker Zach Whitley, 4-Star safety Jaleel Wadood, 4-Star cornerback Adarius Pickett and 4-star linebacker Kenny Young.

This year, they are looking to signed their best class yet and they are off to a fantastic start. They already have a pledge for the country’s top-ranked quarterback, 5-Star Josh Rosen. They have also locked down commitments from 4-Star tight end Aliz’e Jones and 4-Star guard Fred Ulu-Perry.

On Friday, they added their 13th commitment in the class of 2015 when 3-Star defensive end Rick Wade gave his pledge to the Bruins.

Greg Briggins of Scout.com first broke the story.

The 6’6, 225-pounder is from Rancho Santa Margarita, California and attends Santa Margarita Catholic. He is the country’s 32nd-ranked strong-side defensive end, the 77th-best overall prospect in the state of California and is the 661st-ranked prospect in the class of 2015 according to 24/7 sports’ composite rankings. Wade also holds offers from the rival Southern Cal Trojans and Wisconsin Badgers, among others.
