With LeBron James in Cleveland with the Cavaliers, the talk of the town has been how the team can get better on the court and which players need to be added to make that happen.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

One player that the Cavs have been targeting is Ray Allen, who has formed a great friendship and bond with LeBron over the years in Miami and would fit well with the Cavs. But there’s the almighty question of whether or not Allen even wants to keep playing, which is something he’s again addressed in a recent interview.

According to the Hartford Courant, whom Allen spoke to for his interview, the NBA may very well be in the veteran’s future but the bottom line is that he’s in no rush to make a decision nor will he feel that bad if he decides to retire from the game he loves.

"“I’m not in any rush [to make a decision],” Allen said during a break in the Citi Ray Allen Basketball ProCamp at East Granby High on Saturday morning. “I’ve played 18 years, and the way I look at my career, I’m content with everything that I’ve done. I just want to take this summer and see how it goes.”"

Allen has had one of the longer active NBA careers, as he came into the league with the famed 1996 draft class and bounced around from Seattle to Milwaukee and then Boston before heading down to Miami to win another title. But he clearly isn’t as attached to the game as others are, as he’s making it seem as though he can retire from the game and not miss it as much as it would miss him.
