Unhappy news to report from Chicago Bears training camp. Second-year wide receiver Marquess Wilson suffered a fractured clavicle in practice on Monday, per Rich Campbell, and is in danger of missing a significant chunk of time.

Wilson reportedly went down hard while attempting to catch a deep pass and remained on the ground. The receiver had to be carted off the field and was later diagnosed with the fracture. No timetable has yet been set for his return but such injuries typically require 6-8 weeks of recovery time.
A seventh-round pick in 2013 out of Washington State, Wilson was in competition with Josh Morgan to take over for the departed Earl Bennett as the Bears’ #3 receiver. Wilson appeared in nine games his rookie season, catching just two balls for 13 yards.
With Wilson going down for an extended period, look for the Bears to make some kind of move to acquire a wide receiver. They are great at the top with Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall, but things fall off rather precipitously after them.
Eric Weems and Josh Morgan are your veteran options on the roster right now, with untested players like Dale Moss, Chris Williams and Josh Bellamy filling out the depth chart.
