Martellus Bennett suspended by Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears are looking to have a winning season this year after flaming out late in the season last year and missing the postseason in the final game of the schedule.

But the start of this season has been a bit tumultuous already as while there is a healthy quarterback battle going for the role of backup, there is some negative news to bounce around Bears camp. After a fight broke out at training camp, the Bears have handed out a fine and a suspension to tight end Martellus Bennett, something that isn’t so great for offensive development.
Fights have been encouraged in camp is seems, as coaches have generally laughed them off or acted as though they were no big deal, but this fight with the Bears was a much bigger deal as it has resulted in a suspension which is the most serious reaction to a camp fight — the many camp fights — yet.
