Giannis Antetokounmpo

One of the more mysterious prospects to enter the NBA in years, the “Greek Freak” alternatively wowed fans with spectacular flashes of potential and induced head-scratching with bouts of poor decision-making. At times it was obvious just how large a step up the NBA was for an 18-year old whose previous pro experience was the Greek 2nd Division. For all the hoopla about his length and potential he had an underwhelming statistical season, turning the ball over and fouling at an alarming rate while not producing much in return.

Still, that potential was enough to inspire a twitter account just to let League Pass users know when he checked into games. And, he’s still growing. 6-foot-8 when drafted, Antetokounmpo now stands about 6-foot-11, with arms reaching seemingly from sideline-to-sideline. Despite that size, at Vegas Summer League, he played primarily point guard. With mixed results it must be said, but that type of excitement and versatility will help Milwaukee fans through what is sure to be another rebuilding season.
