Things seem to be getting worse between the Phoenix Suns and Eric Bledsoe.

More from Milwaukee Bucks

The restricted free agent guard hasn’t drawn the type of interest he believed he would once he hit the open market. Bledsoe wants to stay with the Suns but is looking for a max deal worth about $80 million over five years. However, the Sun are only offering a deal worth $48 million over four years. That has caused a rift between the two sides and many believe Bledsoe will accept a qualifying offer and become an unrestricted free agent next year.

If he does get a big contract, it would likely be from the Milwaukee Bucks. As Charlie Adams of Hoops Rumors points out, the Bucks will have to clear cap space to acquire Bledsoe.

"The Bucks were one team said to have interest in Bledsoe, but they’d need to clear some cap space in order to give him the type of money he’s looking for. The Sixers possess the cap room to extend a max offer Bledsoe’s way, but they haven’t been reported to have any interest. If he is to hit unrestricted free agency next summer, he’s sure to draw serious attention from teams around the league; it’s just a question of whether or not he’s willing to take a pay cut in the meantime."

Bledsoe averaged 17.7 points, 5.5 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 47.7% from the field, 35.7% from beyond the arc and 77.2% from the free throw line last season.
