It is safe to say that there is a common misconception among sports fans that NFL players have life easy. In reality, the NFL is just like any other day job that requires hours of preparation, hard work, and determination to master your craft.

More from Miami Dolphins

When a work day is done for an NFL player, some prefer to go to a restaurant for the comfort of having food made for them instead of creating a dish themselves. Of course, going to a restaurant can cause any number of issues from bad food to bad service.

Today, Miami Dolphins defensive end Jared Odrick decided to go to the food chain Burger 21 for lunch. Considering Odrick just finished a lengthy practice with his teammates, you can be sure all he wanted was a nice relaxing meal before continuing on with his busy day.

Unfortunately for Odrick, his Burger 21 meal came with a bit more than he asked for. Check out Odrick’s tweets below:

Apparently the person who made Odrick’s salad forgot to throw away the glove and instead added it as an unwanted topping. Hopefully Odrick enjoys the taste of latex and salad dressing.

Maybe next time Odrick will opt for a home cooked meal instead.

[UPDATE 8/12/14 1:09 PM:] Burger 21 released the following statement to FanSided in regards to Jared Odrick’s lunch and this story.

“We sincerely apologize for the less-than-perfect meal Jared Odrick received at Burger 21. What he experienced is not in line with our standards and we have reached out to Jared to address this situation. We have a stringent food safety program in place to ensure the quality and safety of all of our food items, which includes the use of foodservice gloves during food preparation. Team members are being retrained on proper food safety procedures as a result of this incident. We hope to have the opportunity to serve Jared again and provide him with the beyond the better burger experience that is our true standard.”
