The Philadelphia Eagles take on the New England Patriots on Friday night as part of Week 2 of the NFL preseason. When the Eagles step onto the field at Gillette Stadium, they will be sporting their black jerseys.

Don’t expect this to be the last time you see the black jerseys on the Eagles players either, because according to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports the Eagles will be wearing their black jerseys for the early part of the season when they are not in white.

Wait a minute.

Is Garafolo hinting that the Eagles will be wearing new jerseys we don’t know about?

Not so fast, my friends.

The Eagles jerseys are a dark green and the custom color takes some extra time to make.

So until those jerseys are ready to go, we will be seeing the Eagles suited up in black.

Considering how popular those jerseys are among the fans, it shouldn’t be much of an issue.
