Young fan shows disappointment after dropping Dexter Fowler HR (Video)

The Boston Red Sox did not leave their fans with much to cheer about in Sunday’s 8-1 loss to the Houston Astros at home. For one fan, it was an especially cruel day. Not only did his team lose, but he will have a reminder of the one that got away.

Ones that got away can relate to many different things over the course of our lives. In our childhood, they can relate to a favorite toy, or a baseball card that you shouldn’t have traded, or a dropped ball at the ballpark.
It just stings more when the dropped ball is at a major league game and a home run ball.
Houston’s
Dexter Fowlerled off the top of the third inning with a shot over the bullpens in right center field to give the Astros a 7-0 lead. That’s when this kid had his one that got away.
Though you can’t see his face, you just know he was saying “I had it in my glove!” To make matters worse, a father of another child came over and snatched the ball after it left his glove and gave it to his own child, who didn’t look much, if any, younger than the do-it-yourselfer.
Don’t worry kid. Things will get better!
