Veteran big man Andray Blatche has had a pair of solid seasons over the last two years with the Brooklyn Nets. He was especially impressive last year when the Nets needed him most.  Center Brook Lopez went out for the season with another foot surgery while veteran Kevin Garnett had his minutes reduced and sat out several games throughout the season. However, Blatche remains unsigned and some believe that is because of Blatche’s behavior off of the court and in the locker room.

Rob Mahoney of Sports Illustrated still believes a team will take a chance on Blatche soon.

"Even after accounting for his long, worrisome track record, it’s genuinely surprising that no team has made arrangements to sign Blatche after two largely successful seasons with the Nets. There have been indications that Blatche’s stint in Brooklyn brought about the usual headaches, though with them came 18.9 points and 9.2 rebounds per 36 minutes over the past two years. At some point, reliability and responsibility can be forsaken for raw production, particularly in the case of a big man so skilled."

Blatche averaged 11.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 47.6% from the field, 27.8% from beyond the arc and 74.2% from the charity stripe for the Nets last season. In his career, he’s averaged 10.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 0.9 steals per game while shooting 46.7% from the floor, 23.7% from beyond the arc and 72.5% from the charity stripe.
