Carmelo Anthony, JR Smith dominate pickup game (Video)

Carmelo Anthony signed a fat new contract extension with the New York Knicks this summer and he’s celebrating that new deal with some of his old teammates and some new friends that they met during a pickup game.

Melo and both J.R. and Chris Smith were seen at a pickup game in a New York City gym going absolutely ham on a bunch of dudes just playing a game. Well, they weren’t just a bunch of average New Yorker playing a pickup game, rather they were Lance Stephenson, David Lee and Chris Douglas-Roberts.
TMZ had the footage, which is actually really cool considering who is all involved in the game:
Melo’s new deal makes him a rich man but he’s still striving for basketball immortality int he form of winning an NBA title. That’s something all of the men playing in the game are striving for as Lance Stephenson took his talents to Charlotte to try and win, David Lee is on a solid team with the Golden State Warriors and Douglas-Roberts is waiting things out to sign with a contender later in the season.
Hopefully they don’t run into Melo on their road to the Finals as he and J.R. Smith are clearly ready to come out and ball this season.
