6. Tim Duncan:

2013-14 Stat Line: 74 games, 29.2 MPG, 15.1 PPG, 9.7 RPG, 3.0 APG, 1.9 BPG, .490/.000/.731 shooting, 21.4 PER

It feels wrong to put the greatest power forward of all time at No. 6 on this list, but since this is the 2014-15 season we’re talking about, it’s fair to say that Tim Duncan is no longer the best power forward in the league. His two blocks per game last year were pretty impressive for a guy in his 17th season and throughout the playoffs, Timmy went about proving his championship pedigree.

The only problem with putting Duncan higher is he didn’t even play 30 minutes per game last season and will definitely be on a minutes restriction next season as well. His stat line also doesn’t back up the outcry of public rage this ranking will likely draw out of the San Antonio faithful, even though you’d be hard-pressed to find a more trustworthy power forward come playoff time.

If we were living in the early 2000s still, Duncan would probably be at the top of this list. But at the age of 38, it’s unreasonable to think he’s still the best power forward in the league. Greatest? Certainly. Most accomplished? Absolutely. But in a vacuum, if you could pick one power forward for your team, you’re picking someone other than Duncan for the upcoming season. Unless you live in San Antonio, of course.
