The Oklahoma City Thunder have a knack for finding great talent but not at holding onto it and winning titles with it — which is a massive problem that needs to be fixed.

Oklahoma City lost James Harden when he blew up into a star and they couldn’t pay him and the same might happen to his replacement in the lineup — guard Reggie Jackson.

According to Jabari Davis from Basketball Insiders, one player to watch for a breakout season is Jackson as he’s poised to take another step forward with the team this year.

"Whether Brooks decides to play him next to Durant and Westbrook or stagger his resources throughout the game, we should expect Jackson to take yet another step forward this season."

Jackson will be up for a new contract at the end of the season and it will be interesting to see how the Thunder handle that situation. For Jackson, he has all the motivation in the world to have a breakout season this year as he’s a rising talent in the NBA and he can be in for a massive payday when he hits free agency if the Thunder don’t adjust his deal and extend him prior.
