The police officer reportedly pulled Bell over after smelling marijuana when his Camaro drove by and then the arrest was made once the drugs were found.
However, Bell didn’t seem to think there was anything to be worried about.
According to the police report which was obtained by WPXI, Bell told the police officers that he hadn’t smoked in hours and that he was no longer high. Bell also didn’t seem to understand that you could get a DUI for driving while under the influence of marijuana.
Bell reportedly told the officer: “I didn’t know you could get a DUI for being high. I smoked two hours ago. I’m not high anymore. I’m perfectly fine. Why would I be getting high if I had to make it to my game?”
That is a good question, Le’Veon, and something a lot of people want to know.
Regardless of your thoughts on marijuana and whether or not is should be legal, it is currently illegal in the state of Pennsylvania and you had to be toking up fairly recently for an officer to smell the odor of marijuana as you drive on by.
Whether or not Bell and Blount are suspended remains to be seen, but a punishment is not expected this year.
