Bill Goldberg accepts the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge (Video)
Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few months, or possibly have never touched social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and others, then you have more than likely seen more than your fair share of people dumping ice cold water on top of their heads in the name of ALS Awareness.

Among the people who have been accepting the challenge has been a number of celebrities, including some of the biggest names in the WWE Universe.
Everyone from Edge and Christian to Chris Jericho, Stephanie McMahon, Goldust, an unwitting Seth Rollins, Triple H, and even the boss himself, Vince McMahon.
While he may no longer be a member of the WWE Universe, the name Bill Goldberg has become synonymous with Sports Entertainment. After being nominated by Diamond Dallas Page and Jake the Snake Roberts, Goldberg has finally decided to accept the challenge.
He decides to fulfill his end of the bargain in an interesting manner. While he waits anxiously under a water slide, he looks up as his friend – along with some young people who were more than willing to help – and gives them the go ahead and they dump multiple bags of ice onto the slide. From there, the ice cold water makes it’s way down the slide and all over the superstar’s head.
Here is a look at the post from Goldberg’s official Instagram Account.
He leaves us with the hashtag #WhosNext. Well…who will be next to step up to the plate?
Now, for those of you who do now know what ALS truly is, it is a debilitating disease more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. The actual name for the disease is Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and is “a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.”
The motor neurons in the body eventually begin to die off which leads to a complete loss of muscle control and eventually death. It is a horrible disease and not something that you would ever want to watch a friend or family member go through.
That is why this challenge is so important, because it brings awareness to a sometimes forgotten disease and has helped incredibly in raising money to continue researching a cure for the crippling disease.
