Cleveland is rolling out the red carpet for Kevin Love, and unfurling the giant building-sized banners.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

Nothing says “we are glad to have you on our basketball team” like a banner that takes up the entire side of an 8-storey structure.

And that’s before he’s even played a single minute for the Cavs. What happens if Cleveland wins it all with Love as the MVP?

Can you say “giant portrait painted across the frozen surface of Lake Erie?”

There’s nothing like insanely over-the-top civic enthusiasm to get your heart pumping. It feels very good to be in Cleveland right now.

And that’s even with the Browns being kind of an unholy mess.

The banner maybe should read, “Thank you Kevin Love for helping us forget about the Cleveland Browns.”

Oh, and that LeBron James guy had something to do with it too. But Cleveland has already lavished all the love on LeBron that he will ever need. Good of them to spread some of that around to the other guys on the team.
