Cowboys, Colts go 0-4 in preseason Super Bowl chances slim
The Dallas Cowboys and the Indianapolis Colts were both blown out Thursday in their final preseason match-ups and ended with 0-4 records in the preseason. With their 0-4 preseason records, the Colts and Cowboys look to have slim chances at winning a Super Bowl as no team in the past 20 years has gone 0-4 in the preseason and gone on to win a Super Bowl.

The Cowboys were outscored 116-60 in the preseason in losses to San Diego, Baltimore, Miami and Denver. Jason Garrett is entering his fourth full season as the Cowboys head coach and has yet to have a winning season or a playoff berth. The Cowboys have the second most all-time Super Bowl wins with five, but haven’t been to the Super Bowl since the 1995 season when they won. Tony Romo, Dez Bryant and DeMarco Murray lead the Cowboy offense.
The Indianapolis Colts were outscored 88-60 in four losses in the preseason to the New York Jets, New York Giants, New Orleans and Cincinnati. Quarterback Andrew Luck led the team to a Wild Card playoff win over Kansas City last season and now looks to be one of the premier quarterbacks in the league. The Colts have been to the playoffs 12 times since 2000 but only won the Super Bowl once in 2006. With the 0-4 preseason record, history says that their chances are even more slim.
