LSU to start Anthony Jennings at QB over Brandon Harris vs. Wisconsin in opener
By Jack Crosby
The LSU Tigers don’t exactly have a cupcake game coming up on Saturday for their opening game of the season against the Wisconsin Badgers, which made it critical that Les Miles and his coaching staff decided on whether Anthony Jennings or Brandon Harris would start at QB. Well just e little over hours until kickoff, the decision has been made, and the Tigers will be going with the sophomore Jennings against the Badgers, according to a report from NOLA.com.

It’s been a tight battle between the sophomore in Jennings and the highly touted true freshman Harris, but Miles and the coaching staff have decided to go with the one that has the most experience, and that would be Jennings in this case.
Jennings played in nine games last season, and he was forced to take over as the starting quarterback in the final game of the regular season against the Arkansas Razorbacks when Zach Mettenberger went down with a knee injury. And Jennings wasn’t put in an easy spot in that game, neither, as he had to engineer a 99-yard game-winning drive to help his team hold off the upset bid.
With this being such a big game on the road, the decision to go with Jennings does make the most sense. However, it is still very possible that we will see Harris at some point in this game, if Miles feels an appearance is warranted at some point.
