The huge opening weekend of the 2014 college football season rolls along on Saturday, and we will get to see a match up between two titans when the Clemson Tigers and Georgia Bulldogs take the field against one another in a rematch of the opening game last season.

While this game is important, losing it this early still does not mean you’re completely out of it, or so says Tigers head coach Dabo Swinney.
“God forbid we go down there and lose the game,” he said. “But if we do, Georgia’s not in the playoffs and we’re not out of it. It’s a long season, it’s a long way to go. And vice versa, if we win the game, let’s not punch our ticket to Dallas just yet. We’ve got a long way to go in a long season. Every game is critical.”
Every game is critical indeed, but there’s no denying that getting a big win like this over a huge opponent could get you some serious love from the College Football Playoff Committee down the road.
