The Auburn Tigers were in a fight with the Arkansas Razorbacks in the first half as the two SEC west teams were tied up at 21 apiece after 30 minutes of football.

More from College Football

With Nick Marshall sitting for the first half as punishment for his offseason citation for marijuana possession, Jeremy Johnson got the start at quarterback for the reigning SEC champions and was 12-16 passing with 243 yards and two touchdowns in the first half.

However, Marshall came out to start the second half and seized any sort of momentum from the Hogs after they scored a touchdown in the closing minutes of the first half.

Marshall led Auburn to a touchdown drive on his first series capped off with his 18-yard run and then Auburn defender Jermaine Whitehead picked off Arkansas quarterback Brandon Allen and took it back to the house for a 33-yard touchdown to put the Tigers up 35-21 heading into the fourth quarter.

Arkansas put up a good fight for one half of football, but did this interception return for a touchdown take the wind out of their sails and end any chance of pulling off the road upset against the No. 6 team in the country?
