One of the Saints new additions is their final draft pick from May’s NFL Draft, offensive tackle Tavon Rooks, an offensive tackle from Kansas State. The addition of Rooks means all six of the Saints 2014 draft picks have made the team in some fashion.

In addition to Rooks, the Saints signed wide-receivers Brandon Coleman and Seantavius Jones, tight end Nic Jacobs, corner backs Trevin Wade and Terrence Frederick, inside linebacker Todd Davis, offensive guard Antoine McClain, nose tackle Lawrence Virgil, and Pierre Warren.

Of the 10 players signed today and announced by Executive Vice-President and GM Mickey Loomis only guard Antoine McClain was not on the teams squad during training camp. McClain was waived by the Buffalo Bills on Saturday. Five of the players were acquired as un-drafted free agents following the draft in May.

The New Orleans Saints website, has posted biographies of each player and where they came from. Of the ten players, corner back Terrence Frederick was on the roster last season and spent time on the active roster.

"Frederick first joined the Saints in December, 2013, spending the final regular season contest and the team’s two postseason games on the club’s active roster. In the 2014 preseason finale vs. Baltimore, he had two defensive tackles and one special teams stop."

The Saints kick off their 2014 season on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.
