Last week in their huge opening match up with the Wisconsin Badgers, it appeared as if the Tigers were headed for a rare embarrassment to start the season. They were down 24-7 early in the second half, and they needed a miracle.
Well they got that miracle when Les Miles rolled the dice once again and called on a fake punt that was successful. From there, the Tigers rattled off 21 unanswered points to walk away with the 28-24 win.
In his first start of the season under center, Anthony Jennings finished the game with 239 yards through the air, and the rushing effort was led by Kenny Hilliard, who broke the century mark.
Stud freshman Leonard Fournette did see some carries out of the backfield, but he was mainly in action in the kick return department.
