After a week of practice, Arizona Cardinals defensive back Tyrann Mathieu is a game-time decision for Monday night’s game against the San Diego Chargers, according to Darren Urban.

Mathieu is recovering from a torn ACL and LCL he suffered back in week 14 of last season. Talking with John Weinfuss of ESPN.com earlier this week, Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said he would know by the end of week’s practice if Mathieu will be ready to go.

"“We’ll tackles some guys and see how it goes and see what his role will be, if there is one,” Arians said this week.Mathieu won’t be a game-time decision, Arians said.“I’ll know way before then,” he added."

Urban’s report counters the words of Arians, and it seems we won’t know if Mathieu will be playing until Monday.

Mathieu was activated off the preseason physically unable to perform list on August 19 and started practicing the next day with the scout team. He is entering his second season in the NFL.
