Peterson was deactivated for the Vikings’ Week 2 tilt against the New England Patriots when it was learned that he was indicted in Montgomery County for child abuse.
Police reports showed Peterson had badly beat his son with a switch.
But the acceptance of Peterson by the Vikings (and NFL) might be short-lived.
KHOU 11 News in Houston is reporting that Peterson is being investigated for an abuse incident with another son.
Whatever happens next won’t be good for Peterson. The Vikings previously ruled out releasing him, but this latest news is a bombshell and anything could happen at this point.
More importantly, it’s clear that Peterson has a real problem with how he disciplines his kids and one has to feel absolutely terrible for the young children.
The Vikings drafted Peterson with the No. 7 pick in the 2007 NFL draft out of Oklahoma. He rushed for 1,266 yards and 12 touchdowns on 279 attempts last season.
