It’s well-known that baseball fans get to keep any foul balls they might catch in the stands, but fans shouldn’t interfere with the ball in play. Sometimes players will go into stands to make the catch, robbing fans of a souvenir, though visiting players do so at their own risk. Milwaukee Brewers left fielder Gerardo Parra decided to be a good sport, and gave this St. Louis Cardinals fan the ball they sought after:

Parra made sure the fan and his son got their souvenir, and that’s pretty cool. On the season, Parra is slashing .267/.314/.381, and he has nine home runs. The left fielder is generally known for his defense, although he hasn’t been as productive in the field in 2014 as he has been in years past.

The left-handed hitting Parra was traded by the Arizona Diamondbacks to Milwaukee on July 31 in exchange for two minor league players: left-handed pitcher Anthony Banda and outfielder Mitch Haniger.

Parra has played much better since joining the Brew Crew, hitting .305 in 95 at bats and three of his nine home runs have been while with the Brewers. 2015 will be Parra’s third year of arbitration, so the 27-year old outfielder will be a free agent come 2016.
