Damien Harris will announce his commitment on December 12th

5-star running back Damien Harris announced this morning on Kentucky Sports Radio that he will make his decision on what college he will attend on December 12th. Previously, Harris had said that he would announce on December 13th but has since changed his plans. Harris is a five star recruit according to all major recruiting networks and is the number 28th ranked recruit overall in the class of 2015. He is also the number one ranked running back in the state of Kentucky and the number one ranked running back in his recruiting class according to 247sports.

Damien Harris may be the most talented back that has ever come out of Kentucky and the Madison Southern senior has his home school of UK very high up on his list. Mark Stoops has brought in two fantastic classes for the Wildcats, which included the likes of Drew Barker and Matt Elam, both 5 star recruits from the state that had offers from the nation’s top football programs. He convinced both of them to stay home and come to UK and there is a solid chance he can get Harris to do the same.

Stoops is going to have his work cut out for him however as Ohio State, Alabama, Texas A&M and Florida have all offered Harris and many see Ohio State as his dream school. Never count out Alabama for a running back prospect but it seems as though his decision could come down to Ohio State and Kentucky in the end. Barring a late push from Florida or Alabama to swing him, the safe bet is on one of those two schools to land Harris.
